Just as diversity is good, too much diversity can work against you since it will look like the .pany is just trying to cover as many niches as possible. When it .es down to it, choosing a .pany based on the products it represents is the best way to go. The products need to be top quality, not too pricey and something that a lot of people will need or want on a regular basis. .panies that have products that have multiple uses and do well in most if not all of them are good considerations.
